You love each other. So why does it feel so hard to reach each other?

A woman with brown hair and bangs, smiling, sitting on a green sofa, wearing a brown short-sleeved top with buttons and black pants, resting her head on her left hand.

Maybe somewhere along the way, the relationship that once felt playful, intimate and alive began to feel complicated. Conversations turn into arguments. One of you reaches while the other pulls away. You keep having the same fight, or avoid talking altogether. Sex has become a source of pressure, disappointment, or confusion. Maybe there has been an affair. Maybe desire no longer seems to line up. Or maybe you’re simply wondering, what happened to us?

And you’re probably exhausted from trying to figure it out on your own.

You don’t have to keep carrying it alone.

I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, and sexual concerns, including disconnection, infidelity, desire discrepancy, compulsive sexual behaviours, erectile difficulties, performance anxiety, and the shame that can surround intimacy.

Together we can slow things down enough to understand what is really happening beneath the conflict, distance, anxiety, or sexual difficulties.

Therapy isn’t about finding someone to blame or teaching you the “right” way to communicate. It’s about creating enough safety and curiosity to understand the patterns you’re caught in, and discovering new ways of relating to yourself and each other.

  • You love your partner, but feel kilometres apart emotionally.

  • You keep having the same arguments and don’t know how to get out of the cycle.

  • You miss feeling playful, connected, or desired.

  • Sex has become stressful, complicated, or something you avoid altogether.

  • Your desire doesn’t match your partner’s, and neither of you knows what to do with the difference.

  • An affair or betrayal has changed your relationship and you’re trying to understand what happens next.

  • Anxiety, overthinking, or emotional overwhelm is making it difficult to feel present and connected.

  • You carry shame around sex, your body, your desires, or parts of yourself you’ve learned to hide.

  • From the outside, you’re holding everything together, but inside, you’re struggling.

Maybe you’re here because…

Hi, I’m Haylie (she/her)

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor, but more importantly, I’m a human being who knows that therapy can feel vulnerable, awkward, relieving, funny, connecting, and sometimes all of those things in the same hour.

I bring curiosity, professional training, and my own quirky humanness to our work together. You don’t have to show up polished or know exactly what’s wrong before you reach out.

You deserve a space where you can finally exhale, let your guard down, and feel supported enough to bring your whole self, including the parts that may be harder to share.

My Approach

Talking about relationships and sex can bring up an incredible amount of vulnerability. You may worry about being judged, misunderstood, or told that you’re the problem.

I want therapy to feel different.

My approach is warm, collaborative, curious, and grounded in deep respect for the parts of you that have learned to protect you. We’ll make room for the emotions underneath the patterns, not to judge them, but to understand them.

And when it comes to sex, I don’t shy away from the conversation. We can talk about desire, pleasure, fantasies, infidelity, shame, bodies, performance, avoidance, sexuality, and the things that can feel almost impossible to say out loud.

Therapy is a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin creating the kind of connection you’re longing for, both with yourself and the people who matter most.
